>Holy shit ORAS short? In order to advertise ORAS, BS Japan will be showing a special airing of the Deoxys movie. It will be hosted by Shoko Nakagawa, and in addition to the movie itself, will also show footage from ORAS and an all-new anime short based on the ORAS games.
The program will air from 7pm to 8:54pm for a total of 1 hour 54 minutes. The movie itself lasts 1 hour 30 minutes and there'll be about 10 minutes worth of ad breaks, so the anime short itself will be about 5 minutes long at the absolute max.

As a children's show, Pokemon is a pretty formulaic anime and even then it has very little character development compared to other shows aimed at a similar age group like Precure. Amour is one of the few things that might actually warrant speculation, even though speculation has been beat into the ground a thousand times over. It doesn't help that the only other topic people have to discuss is how much they dislike the movie dub, but that's an opinion most people agree with so it just results to a giant circlejerk.

By comparison, Cardcaptor Sakura is aimed at the same age group. Admittedly Pokemon is basically a vehicle to sell a product to children, but the same could have been said about Digimon. Hell, most older mecha shows like Gundam 0079 were targeted at kids. Even Pokemon Special is targeted at elementary school kids. Why is the Pokemon anime written so conservatively?
