The postgame, I feel, while lacking new dungeons/areas, did make it easier to breed for casual players. I feel like competitive battling, which is the core of the game, is the postgame (even if the base game meta is poor). There is a postgame, and a huge one, or you wouldn't have hundreds of hours of playtime - it's just that it isn't questing.
Meanwhile, the game throws more Pokemon at you than ever before, and yet you might as well have no team planning whatsoever. The game is too fucking easy, and I DIDN'T use the Exp. Share, or O-powers. Give Gym leaders/e4 members more Pokemon, make opposition levels higher across the board (inc. random trainers), the game was just autopilot for anyone competent.
They touched on a great idea with the Hard Mode in BW2, but it needed to be available from the start, and in this case, actually exist. Who knows what the fuck GF is smoking, it's not like this would be difficult to implement.
And you know what was nearly as fucking bad? This
>>21678861Mega Evolution lost all coolness and hype when the first Pokemon you mega-evolve isn't out of your own choice, your own Pokemon that you've raised and have specifically chosen to be your mega. Fucking hand-holding cunts.
In spite of this, it's a good game. It says a lot about how good the formula for Pokemon games in general are, for them to fuck up like this and still produce something good.
