Deoxys is going to be available in the postgame? For real?

An event pokemon becoming catchable in the main game, that's mindblowing. I can scarcely believe that Gamefreak might actually be doing that.

Technically Lugia and Ho-oh were event Pokémon in gen3 only to become catchable in very late gen4

doubtfull, since it is event-exculsive after all (Lugia and Ho-oh were non-events in GS, so they dont really count)

That was the Anime team doing shit on their own, and really, that's only once. This is just the second time. It seems to have to do with Rayquaza protecting the planet in the upper atmosphere, and Deoxys coming from space.

Ah, my apologies. Thought you were talking about Rayquaza v. Deoxys being forced.

Eh, it's true. Probably hampered some what in the main ORAS story by it being a remake.

I could also see Game Freak wanting each story to be self contained, so that kids can always just pick up the latest one as their first without feeling the need to have played earlier ones.

Coincidentally, Destiny Deoxys is my favorite pokemon movie. Deoxys and Rayquaza's fight is the most memorable of the entire anime.
