i want them to polish the overworld component of any game ie complicated, nuanced puzzles beyond smashing or cutting the scenery. I can take or leave story - narrative can be distilled from a game and the conflict between winning and losing. i would enjoy a game of actions and events rather than dialogue and exposition. i don't accept that the games are for children 1) because i play them and so do you, and 2) the complex web linking moves, types, and species is intricate beyond juvenile understanding (not to underestimate children generally)

Y2/X2 which isn't completely derivative of the first iteration like B2/W2 was. I was so sick of being told of how cool "2 years ago" was. Cameos and nods are fine.

They already said that they won't make Z in a pretty recent interview because they want to surprise us. They explicitly said "Z" too, so there is zero chances of Z happening now.

Depending on how ORAS work I may not want Emerald.

Aside from the "canon" plot there wouldn't be anything different from ORAS if we're really going to get BF.
And honestly I don't want to pay for another game just for the sake of muh canon.

I'd rather go for X2 Y2

I think it would be better if Surf were some type of key item that you could use by walking into the water with any compatible pokemon in your party. There are too many button presses involved with HMs right now.
