I'm a big genwunner, played every gen, first game was red, etc. etc. etc. B2W2 is objectively the best Pokemon game to date. Generation 5 was a lot better than Generation 4, pokemon design wise.

Yeah, not a chance. Good movepools come from favoritism and not balance or flavor. If Gamefreak loved Typlosion and Liligant as much as Greninja and Lucario, they would've gotten Earth Power already.

No seriously, I honestly have no idea why /vp/ has such a hivemind boner for these games. The only good things about B2W2 imo were Iris being the champion, repels asking you if you want to use another, Colress as a character and the medal system. They even ruined my favourite city driftveil.

The other stuff you mentioned was good, but there was plenty of other good things. Black tower/white treehollow, PWT not that it made up for lack of battle frontier, join avenue and difficulty keys were all great additions to the lacluster BW

Don't forget that they were the first games to give you something useful for completing the dex.
Just because you decided not to use them doesn't mean they shouldn't be a factor in the game's quality. Opinions aside they are the most polished and well refined Pokemon games out right now.
