What are IV's? and how do i breed for them in X/Y?

every slot HP/Attack/Defense/Special Attack/Special Defense/Speed has a range from 0-31 IV. IV's are a small boost like EV's.

density knot item can be held during breeding so that 5 of 12 total traits are passed down from each parent so if ditto had 31/31/31/31/31/31 and it bred with a eevee 0/0/0/0/0/0 it would have 5 slots 0 or 31. 0/28/31/31/0/0 as an example

thats EV's its more points than just IV but its limited so people put like 252 in 2 spots and like 4 in something else, also natures are key too.

its not a kids game, some use 0Attack on special attackers so confusion doesnt fuck em up. Others use 0 speed for gyro ball or trick room. It gets way complex

if you go to online calculators they can do it for you just by typing in the mons stats it will be like 2/23/15/7/31/14, it will always be in the format HP/A/D/SA/SD/Speed like >>21709966

Calculators are inaccurate when it comes to low level pokemons, I just don't see what's wrong with having the actual value displayed on the stats screen.
