>>21714685The other notable bro is my Bellsprout from HeartGold, nicknamed TSCHERMOJEW (Chermoyev). (I named my starter after Ramzan Kadyrov on a whim, and decided to roll with it and to name every team member of mine after historical Chechen figures.)
I'd been meaning to use a Victreebell for a while, so I caught a Bellsprout. Having one follow me around in-game made it quite a lot more charming than the still artwork: he wobbled around, danced in the Bellsprout Tower, and was altogether adorable.
But beyond that, he was also amazing in battle. Especially after I'd taught him Sunny Day and Solar Beam, he became one of my main sweepers, putting enemies to sleep first, and then nuking the rest of their team with Solar Beams.
Then came the time when he would have evolved. I find Weepinbell to be quite ugly though, so I prevented TSCHERMOJEW from evolving until I could find a Leaf Stone.
...turns out that you can't get a Leaf Stone in HG until the postgame, though. By the time I finally got one, I had already defeated the Elite Four with this little Bellsprout, and although he was getting oneshot a lot, he still did great against the NPCs. And so, I decided to give him an Everstone instead, and to date he still has not evolved, at over level 60. He also accompanied me to France in my Pokéwalker, and to other places.
