CB runs alright but Mega-Aerodactyl's in a better speed tier. I've been meaning to try Hone Claws on a Jolly set before for 100% accurate Stone Edge, but I haven't gotten around to it.

AA and sky drop for doubles has 120 bp after tough claws and stab. That's plenty for killing grass and fighting types.

Fire fang and ice fang do all the work.
Garchomp, landorus, gliscor, salamence, ferrothorn and scizor on a predicted switch all go down hard.

Crunch is great for lati@s, ghosts of all kinds and more.

The STABs are lackluster, but Mega Aerodactyl has coverage for days, in addition to being fast as fuck and hitting like a bus. It's also one of the best Mega Salamence checks you will ever find. It has a fuckton of utility thanks to moves like Roost, Taunt, Hone Claws, and Stealth Rock, and is more than capable of pulling its own weight in OU.
I would not hesitate to call it the best Rock-type Mega in the game right now, even without a decent STAB move to abuse. I personally find its bulk to be surprisingly helpful, so I honestly can't say that there even exists a Tough Claws-boosted STAB that I really wish Aerodactyl had other than maybe Drill Peck.

It's great. Currently you can run Adamant (outdamages Life Orb Jolly Aerodactyl even on non Tough Claws boosted moves) and it still naturally outspeeds everything relevant except Mega Manectric. Tough Claws gives it great coverage moves in Aerial Ace (Sky Drop if you want to play stall), elemental fangs, Iron Head, Crunch and Aqua Tail. There are defensive stall breaker sets too with Roost and Taunt. Very anti meta for the most part, outspeeds and can OHKO a lot of common OU threats like Mega Zards, Talonflame, Mega Pinsir and Garchomp.

Once ORAS comes out though it might not be able to afford running Adamant anymore with the Mega speed creep. This doesn't mean it becomes trash though, with Jolly it can outspeed and kill the newer threats like Mega Lopunny, Mega Beedrill, Mega Gallade (though it already outsped this one with Adamant) and Mega Sceptile.

Give it a try, it might surprise you.

You're thinking of Ice-type Megas, which is a race with no winners.

Magic guard clefable with a life orb. The sand won't hurt it and it'll give nice coverage. Reniclus can do the same thing and if you use trick room that'll work with your hippo and scizor.

What about the last slot? Fire or Water attacks seem important. If Trick Room then perhaps Crawdaunt...

stone edge, sneaky stones, fire fang, and taunt.
ive been running this guy on my team for the past 8 months and other than infernape, is probably one of the best leads out there.

Apparently the set they run in Smogon is Jolly with 248 attack, about 44 defense EVs and the rest in speed to let it survive a +1 Mega Salamence attack after Stealth Rocks and Ice Fang OHKO in return (not sure about SR in this one). They claim it's a decent check at least.
