Alright /vp/, with the hype train pulling into the station next week, what are your plans for picking up the games?

I get every other weekend off. So luckily I got next weekend off. I also did some shift moves to get Friday and Monday off as well. Gonna wake up pretty early, grab some food and go grab the games. It's supposed to rain all weekend here and it's gonna be super comfy.

Any plans? How did X and Y release go for you?

There's a pop-culture store up in the city which is holding a midnight release, which is the same night as my high school graduation.
But that finishes at 8:30pm, so the plan is to head down to the city after that and catch the midnight release with my older sister. Hoping she doesn't cause a scene at the counter though, we both want to get Ruby. I originally owned the Ruby cartridge but she stole it from my GBA when I was at school one day and started her own file on it, which she only played up to around the third gym on. I played through the rest of it. I still remember crossing my fingers hoping that Pinsir would land his Guillotine on Steven's Metagross, I didn't start Pokémon with gen 3 or anything but I remember it being the first game I actually defeated the league on. But, because the file was under my sister's name in her mind that means the game belonged to her, and just won't let me buy myself Omega Ruby. Fuck that, I'm not letting some casual tell me what to do. She hasn't even completed Y, the only game she's beaten the league on is Heart Gold, and even then I had to motivate her by giving her a shiny Charmander. Bitch.

Would be cool if I could grab an N3DSXL at the same time, hopefully they have them in stock by then.

I don't drive due to anxiety issues, so I was unsure how to go about it. I currently live with my dad but I have difficulty talking with him or my stepmom about my nerdy interests. Luckily I got to plan things out with my mom. We're going to a thing on Saturday, so she agreed to take me to get the game on Friday. I just have to spend the night crashed on her couch, unless she can get an air mattress for the guest room. Allergies are going to be a pain though, she has a dog and I'm really just painting myself to be a neckbeard at this point.
