Am I one of those people who came to have Milotic as their favorite from sheer virtue of wanting it so hard?

It took me Gen IV and hardcore Pamtre grinding to evolve my first one.

Which is to say it took like three years.

Not really. I dislike it, and I managed to get one in Sapphire. I fucked up the beauty maxing process somehow after getting a Feebas so I bred for another one (luckily I had a female) and got a Milotic eventually.
