You think it's easy to not spot that shit on /vp/ when their threads get a shit ton of posts? Also why does anyone bother with pokemon reviews in the first place? Is there some magic fount of competent pokemon reviews that have never been posted on /vp/ before because if so I'd love to read what they have to say.

The reality is that nobody seriously reviews pokemon games for a reason: they're targeted at children.

Terrible in retrospect but an improvement in the series. It's easy to shit on things looking back. I'm not saying it was amazing either but it was enjoyable at the time even with its problems.

Diamond was a much better game, tbh. I can't even put my finger on why. I don't think it's just Dialga > Palkia, but something was just better about Diamond. I originally played (and then got rid of, like a fool) Diamond, but then I played my sister's Pearl all the way through and it was just shit. Absolute shit.

Besides which, both Diamond and Pearl were not good. Platinum however was great and fixed the problems in those games.

Never got to play Platinum. I enjoyed Diamond. I think it was the version exclusives and it COULD be the fact that I started where my sister left off just after the second gym and she picked Piplup instead of Chimchar, but the version exclusives made Diamond a bit more fun all around, imo.
