Lots of Fakemon are pretty good and can make a good game on their own. That's it, forgetting about all Pokemon created by Game Freak, and naming the game "Fakemon".
I also have the idea that the ability to choose your starting character, each one with its own route would be great in a Pokemon game, adding a lot of replayability value without adding too much content, just like Seiken Densetsu 3.
However, if eventually a "Fakemon" named and themed game would have issues if the game mechanics are copied?
