My biggest complaint is the nose horn, and that was on Rhydon in the first place. It's not that bad, although I sorta wish its armor was a more flattering color than shitty not-even-hazard-stripe orange.

Rhyperior however is not to be forgiven. It's just ugly dude. Doesn't resemble a rhino really at all. Useless gigalith arms, Large horn already, what's the reason for a second horn if there's no legit stabbing in battles? Ridiculous plating all over it and a plated belt, and worst is that tail. Completely smooth then they just throw a rock at on the end. What the fuck?

are you seriously that retarded to not get it? it's suppose to represent a contrusction worker, so the rock at the end of the tail is a wrecking ball (and also an Ankylosaurus's tail), that also applies to the plates on his body, which it retains when you evolve it with the Protector

it's fine if you don't like it but don't make it seem like they just threw random stuff on it because it's not true

Rhyperior design makes no sense, it's Rhydon with a bunch of shit added on top, what you'd expect from an 8yo on deviantart. Orange armor, second horn, reddish gray skin, elbow things, hand holes to fire rocks or some shit, that weird neck bump. There's no balance in the design.

Also, like most of the Gen 4 evos, and even the megas we're seeing now, they ruin the Pokemon their (mega) evolving from. They should just alter the stats and not butcher designs. And yes, Gen 4 is by far the worst Gen design wise.

OP here. Looks like it's a mix of the colour and the design that most of you hate. Personally, I think it has great design. It is meant to be fat (not the best word for it but whatever, nbd) to show it has solid defenses. And come on, it's got freaking rock cannons in its arms. That's pretty badass.

Also, on an unrelated note, I would have to say that while gen 4 has some seriously shit designs, both gen 5 and gen 2 were pretty poor as well. All 3 had some saving factors though, like Scizor, Garchomp and Volcarona

its legs are so short I can only imagine it waddling around like a penguin
its biceps are like twigs compared to its forearms how does it even lift its own arms
its tail is thinner yet its also got a big club on the end which seems like it would make it even harder for it to walk
look at rhydon's biceps legs and tail in comparison they're like twice as big
I kind of find it hard to believe that GF didn't make Rhyperior look out of shape on purpose because its just too obvious

From what I've heard, its usually just people not liking the design. Which is strange, since Rhydon and Rhyhorn look barely anything like each other, and the drill nose was always tacky.

I've seen people edit in some floppy ears in lieu of Rhydon's and it looks awful, completely derpy, but some people prefer it because to them Rhyperior now more resembles Rhydon.
Maybe they should spend more time editing Rhyhorn to look more like Rhydon

Whats the best setup for Rhyperior?
I've gone for raw power and STAB with Rock Blast, Bulldoze, Ice Fang and Brick Break.
Now with reusable TMS I sometimes replace Rock Blast and Bulldoze with Rock Wrecker and Drill Run.

Why Bulldoze over Earthquake? Does the speed drop really help your team enough to drop 40 BP from your strongest Ground STAB?
I've ran Stone Edge and Earthquake on mine. I also use Poison Jab and Dragon Tail but that's purely just to fuck with my one friend who loves using Fairies and sets up in Rhyperior's face

It's nice for breaking through bulky Psychic types. Feel free to swap it for Poison Jab if Fairies give you more trouble instead. Like I said the Ice/Ground/Rock coverage is really good so on a full offensive set with Assault Vest the last move is pretty flexible.

I'd almost automatically no longer hate it because it'd have a purpose. Filler Pokemon are fine unless they're the only Pokemon with a cool type combination. But when a fairly useless, 'just there' Mon occupies a cool typing exclusively... it kind of pisses me off a little.

Because Rhyperior is the uggo to end all uggos and has way too much stuff sticking off of its body, a lot of which doesn't seem to serve a purpose like the elbows being extended and the second horn on the top of its head.
