Yeah, his only reliable switchins were fairy types (sylveon and 96+ sdef clefable) but now that's kinda gone to shit. His coverage is so massive and with protean + life orb everything takes a lot of damage from super effective attacks, so the issue with him is you have to guess what on your team can take him on since you don't know which 4 moves the guy picked from the start.

I can see that being a problem with m-lucario since it hits so damn hard, but would this really be such a big problem when you have 95/103 offenses? Even with stab it doesn't sound like a no investment/mixed greninja would really do much damage with a physical move.

in order to take its 252 ev protean life orb hydro pump, you need to use a specially defensive wall

You also have to consider said physical move is of 120 BP which is incredibly powerful and STAB on everything is nothing to sniff at when you sit back and remember he has a 50% boost on everything.

I regularly destroy Greninja with my eviolite max HP and max special defense Magmar. He can take like 3 hydro pumps while toxic and confusing and protecting it to death

Granted, it can switch into Ice Beam (just once), Gunk Shot, and Dark Pulse, but you can apply this to just about any Scarf user. I don't know your definition of "hard," but not being able to switch into 3/4 of Greninja's attacks is pretty freaking hard.

Empoleon switches in and no greninjas do not commonly carry low kick.

That being said i still think its too powerful, just because there are counters doesn't mean its ok in the meta.
