This is taken from Pokemon Millennium, an Italian pokemon website. They got the game early, and this is the part of the review that interested me the most. I am going to translate the highlights for you guys : >The game difficulty is the real sore point of these new titles >NPC's artificial intelligence is too indulgent, it is possible to complete the game regardless of your team and its composition in moves to use and types to choose. >Same goes with legendary encounters which , except in rare cases, will last about five rounds and will require the least effort strategy (ArcheoGroudon captured in two rounds, with a Ultraball and more than 1/3 of Health Points) >To compensate for the sins the game has a a great longevity, after 40 hours of gameplay there are still many things to do, looking for pokemons and items to find. >Fortunately we are far away from the bad memory of XY where at the end of the plot the game is almost totally over. So, thoughts?

We already knew there's about a hundred Pokémon you have to go out and search for using the Pokénav after beating the E4, rather than just having to find someone's friend code so you can grab them in the Safari. That's probably all they're referring to.

Great.

If you cannot tell us if it's more than just Episode Delta, legendary hunt and contests, then I'm not buying into your argument.

part of my best memories playing R/S/E as a kid were finally catching groudon/kyogre/rayquaza after tens of ultra balls and timer balls. it felt so satisfying. now, I can just use a capture lvl 3 o-power and catch it with a poke ball. or, i dont even need an o-power it seems. where's the thrill of the catch?
Anonymous
Quoted By:
>>21764428 The thrill of the catch comes from the fact that you'll be catching Primal Groudon
Anonymous
>>21764428 It should be almost exactly as difficult to catch. Only difference are optional O-powers and negligible critical capture chance

I don't have an account there anymore so i can't comment. But still: - did he actually test it many times? did he tried with other legendaries? - did he use Mega Sceptile?

Pokemon is truly dead, time to move on. They fucked up the franchise in ways I never thought they could, they think they can get away with anything, including making a gen 3 remake and failing to meet the content standards of the last gen 3 game 10 years ago. Goodbye, it was a nice ride. Going to stay on Showdown and play rom hacks from now on if I get the itch.

Can someone tell me why Pokemon AI is so bare-bones nowadays? It pales in comparison to what the Stadium games had to offer, and those were N64 games. I also thought that XY AI was worse than 5th Gen AI somehow. How that happened I don't even know. Fights aren't too satisfying to win if you know you won because of technical imperfections

Do I need to include more faggots and niggers and fucks on my posts so you can leave?
Either way, it's not drama, I'm just reacting to incompetence and moving on with my money elsewhere.

At least with XY you could use the excuse that it was the first 3D game and they didn't have time, but that shit's over.
