why bother making secret megas when day 1 we can find them all?
pokemon fans wanted online compatibility and got it in gen IV. but that wasn't enough. and while yes, later games had battle facilities, HGSS gave us the option to take on the battle frontier with a friend online, and BW2 was just pandering to nostalgia.
but now? it's all online. why put in battle facilities when online tournaments like Fairy Garden and the mono-ghost ones exist and can be fluidly changed?
so go check out the battle resort/maison, pick up the items you want for online battling, and play some randoms.
