Looking at that screenshot tells me that the orange glow in the scene will indicate it’s the end of the day, likely Ash and Serena having finished their “date”. The setting of the sun establishes an atmosphere of resolution meaning at least one of the two will come to an understanding after learning something from that moment. Serena looks unusually confident while Ash looks kind of blank. That would kind of be consistent with the relationship the two have had the past episodes; Serena speaking on a different frequency while her unrequited emotions fails to resonate with Ash.
The unmatching body language just suggests that this episode won’t really develop anything new at least on Ash’s side. Serena’s look of contentment means she’s finds the results she got out of this endeavor acceptable. Either she learns that perhaps there’s a kernel of hope that Ash may turn around for her someday… Or maybe she comes to an understanding about Ash, that maybe it’s not meant to be.
