Yeah, last year Serebii had tonnes of info, even a few megas, that leakers hadn't found, and updated within an hour of it being out in Japan so that he didn't upset the Nintendo ninjas.

He's done a few bad things. Confirming fakes is the one he's most known for, but he's also directly plagiarized text from other fansites for things like episode summaries, and naturally acts really pretentious.
But he's generally a good source of quick info and doesn't openly defend child porn.

Last year Pokebeach had XY a few days before release (it was before Serebii started playing his copy). They didn't really cover it, but I'll be checking their Twitter/FB to see if they reveal anything too. (It's good to check multiple places.)

They're mainly a TCG site so I don't think they really cover the game releases anymore. I do remember them covering DP and Platinum and giving Serebii a run for his money. They had all the new DP evolutions confirmed and Serebii went around posting that Pokebeach was lying. Then for Platinum Pokebeach was like 8 hours ahead in the game coverage because Serebii went to bed. But yeah, Pokebeach doesn't really cover the games anymore, but they're good for leaks and news and whatnot.
