They didn't need to rebalance the core game much, most of the story is going to be the same, they didn't need to design new maps, they just had to copy the ones they already had, except in 3D. Most of all, they didn't have the same thing with XY where they had to create 3D models for every single Pokemon species, they literally reused the same ones they had, something they've never done with other remakes in the past (they usually made new sprite art, they didn't even add new animations or anything to existing models this time).
You people act like this is hard for a company that has as much success as GF does. With all that money they have they should be capable of doing far better than what they always do, and I never get why people defend them for doing the bare minimum.
If the price of going 3D is really that they need to dedicate THIS MUCH time to just creating the basics of the game, I would prefer we go back to 2D. But really, like usual GF is like 10 years behind the rest of the industry and for some reason people constantly say its okay.
