>>21789327>>21789677You're acting like it's just Battle Frontier that has colored a lot of peoples' decisions. There are a lot of people who were unhappy about the absence of other features, a total lack of improvement on framerate, etc, but were going to get it anyway, but the BF just happened to be the last thing they needed to convince them away from it.
I like updated graphics, mechanics, and new Mega Pokemon as much as anyone, but when it comes down to it, people should be getting these games for the content they offer. The actual game part of the game. I can think of just two things that are completely unique to ORAS that I won't be getting if I just went back and replayed Emerald again:
>Flying on Latios>Episode DeltaCool enough, but I personally do not think it's worth the full price of admission, especially when they also cut something that was one of the major sources of replay value out compared to the last time they made a Hoenn game.
A lot of people around here seem to lose the perspective that Pokemon, as a series, is one of the most stagnant and lazy series on the market, even when they create completely new games (Meaning the first games of a gen). When it comes to a remake within a stagnant series that should go doubly so, and now they're actually removing stuff from the games compared to the last time they remade them (if you count Emerald as a "remake")? It just blows my mind that people defend this, Gamefreak isn't some struggling tiny company just trying to get by here.
