This is the first real gen where DLC is possible. X/Y they were still testing out DLC updates as recent as a couple weeks ago to see what's possible. It was the test run.

It's not "Did they ever put in DLC into the Gameboy Advance version? I didn't think so!", rather this is the time they would try something like that out.

Actually, it makes sense, the battle frontier wasn't implemented until emerald, and since these are remakes of ruby and saphire, they found a way to implement the battle frontier, but at the same time mantaining true to the originals, the battle maison is just a placeholder for when the frontier is built, whenever that is.
My point is that it's very possible for the frontier to appear in the game after a while, like the timed events in the demo.

Somehow they got the demo working in a way that isn't affected by changing the time on your 3DS, so for all we know the BF could appear after a couple weeks have passed like Steven's house. It literally says in the game, it's being constructed. That's an ingame way of saying "bitch be patient."

I had about 40 bucks in Amazon gift money to blow and I preordered AS back in September.

Since then, it's turned out that none of my friends are getting it and while I really don't give a crap about the BF, the considerable lengths they seem to have gone to to half-ass the game are pretty impressive. Maybe it'll actually be good and I'll pick it up somewhere down the line. Maybe not.

Have they even shown an in-game map location of the battle resort; because if its not in the same location of the battle frontier i think DLC/Time delay is still likely; but if it is in the same spot as the original BF we will probably have to wait until dy/dx

Japanese developers are like autistic children, they are simply blinkered to anything that the fans ask for, particularly western fans who they don't even acknowledge.

It really shows how little Masuda cares when RSE were his first games as the main director, and THIS is the effort he puts into their remakes.

BF wasn't built yet in R/S so obviously it was in development in Hoenn. To make that more smooth, they added the seeds of the BF's construction.
In Emerald, this entire facility and island appears out of nowhere? It was being worked on in R/S and this shows that.

Emerald and R/S doesn't exist on the same timeline. The main events involving the legendaries of both exclude each other. Steven appears in Emerald as a retired champion, but that doesn't happen "after R/S" as you said, because there was no R/S in Emerald plotline.

Since ORAS is releasing a week later in Europe, GF didn't want everywhere else to be able to access the BF before EU even gets started.

So once it releases in EU, there will be time for them to play through it and then when generally everyone has finished, the BF will unlock (akin to Steven's house time unlock).

There's special wifi features, so it'd be more beneficial to have everyone play together.

It's time released, only appears after something like 100 hours of gameplay, not since game creation, actual gametime, which is harder to fix in 5 seconds, apart from just leaving it on at nighttime.

Or maybe something like 20-50 hours after Pokemon League completion...

If this is just a nod to the original Emerald and the BF isn't completed yet, why is the Game Corner shut down and why is Mauville City redone by Wattson?

I'm sure theres other inconsistencies too; this is the only thing making me believe theres still a chance we are getting DLC/Battle Frontier, even though I am pretty sure its not fucking happening.

Its pretty obvious that the mockup is just a shitty gag from pokemon to justify their retardness , they said that ORAS is a RS remake only but they appear to have no trouble adding pokedolls that you only found them in emerald

Also you guys dont seem to see something important here. Why would there be Battle Points, if there is no Battle Frontier? You dont have them in XY, and both games shares the same maison. Think about it.

Since 3DS carts are ROM (Read only) they have two options:

A: Keep the area under lock like Steven's house in the demo. It exists, but it's inaccessible.
B: Set it up so the framework around the area is there, but release an update/DLC to add the models and shit(in this case, it'd be loaded off of the SD card),

First off in the Demos we got content that was timed. Something that wasn't in XY. They could do something here.

Also what you forget is that no remake has gotten a sequel. Meanwhile every main series game has. XY could get new features in a sequel. ORAS will not. If something is added it needs to be in ORAS.

This does outright stat the battle frontier is being planned as well. Which isn't something any of that shit you see in XY has. There is no reason for them to do this if they weren't going to include it. In that case why put this sign up.
