The Mad Mage pondered to himself as the fated hour approached, the generals said that they would be on the way, and he knew that the enemies were nearly at the gates, sure this place was no tower but he still planned to have a little fun with them anyway.
"Heheheh, they'll be just in time for the fire."
The inner monologue was rudely interrupted however by a knock on the door.
"What?" The man man turned around angrily and threw open the door glaring death at whoever was on the other end, "is it this time?"
The two guards on the other in mumbled something a moment before finally spitting out about a message getting out from the other group.
"Idiots." The man said before glaring at them. "They're calling for help aren't they?!"
The duo nodded.
The clown glared at them a moment, "How will they get here?"
The guard shrugged, "We have the ground locked down and they can't teleport, so air?"
"Wonderful," The man's expression twisted to a gleeful smile. "just wonderful," He turned and started walking towards the back of the building, "I haven't let doomy out in months!"
