Anyone feel like it would have been better if they just didn't even acknowledge the Frontier at all? Hell, why not have an NPC saying "there's rumors going around that Flygon may be able to use the power of Mega Evolution!"

Fuck I'm so disappointed.

GC gets a pass, it's not really GF's fault (blame Yurope for that) and it's a damn good nod.

Battle Frontier, on the other hand, is like showing a toy to a kid, exciting him, and then throwing it to the thrash while you raise your middle finger at him and you watch him cry.

Think logically for a second. Game Freak aren't dickheads. If they refer to the Battle Frontier this heavily IT IS IN. You probably have to get all 5 Maison trophies first.

afaik there is no text that hints to BF in the entire game and apparently it was entirely mined already.

If there's a BF I'll be honestly surprised but at this point it's kinda pointless to have any hope.

These are references to future brains. But nowhere in these pastebins the text of an actual frontier is hinted at. All it says is "oh hey we're gonna build a battle frontier and here are some chraracters you may remember" and that's pretty much it.

What we need are text placeholders that say stuff like "Battle Pike", "Battle Pyramid", and in general text that hint at people being IN the frontier.

The reason GF and Nintendo at large do things like this is so they can keep the franchise running longer. They know the more good features they put in now, the more you'll want next time. So they conservatively grow the franchise. Think about it, it would be easy to make an amazing Pokemon game. But what happens after that? How do they they top it? They can't, so they cut back features not so much that you'll stop buying the games, but just enough to make you lower your expectations enough to swallow their next turd.

As of now there is no playable bf period. Whether they decide to include it as dlc or in a future games is up in the air. A huge attractive feature wouldn't be that well hidden. Those are the facts and tons of people have beaten the game by now including serebii. You can stay in denial and make excuses for gamefreak all you want but that didn't work well the first few times when gamefreak didn't verify the questions about bf being in.
