This is something that I've been meaning to finish off for over a year now. A while a go, we did a "/vp/ draws the pokedex", where members of this board would draw a Pokemon and all the drawings would be compiled into one image (well /v/ did gen 1, /vp/ did the other gens). We had almost finished gen 5 and were waiting for the last few anons to deliver. Then someone had the bright idea of redoing the Gen 1 Pokedex since the image quality of the original was pretty poor and we didn't have access to all the individual images. The project then sort of died and it never got finished. So now is just as good a time as any to finish off this project and carry on to gen 6 (and possibly the mega-evolutions if I don't lose the will to live after that). I should also add that I'm not the original OP, I just happened to have saved a copy of all the completed Pokemon. When this is done, I'll upload a zip file containing each gen's Pokedex as well as the individual artwork for gens 3-6 (we've lost the individual artwork for the first two gens).
The image shows the last 6 gen 5 Pokemon that need to be drawn. Just a few things to be aware of when you draw these:
- It doesn't have to be amazing. As you'll see when I post the previous Pokedex's the quality in artwork ranges from shit to great.
- Try to keep the image on a white/transparent background. While this isn't a requirement, it makes my job a lot easier and having a large background makes it difficult to fit lots of images close together without them obstructing each other
- Try to make your Pokemon the main subject of your drawing, if it doesn't satisfy this then I'll leave it in the honourable mentions section
- The size of the image doesn't matter as I'll be scaling them down and leaving the original image in the zip file as well
- Try not to make the image too tall since it makes it a pain to fit into the overall image, if it is too difficult to put in then I'll put it in the honourable mentions section
