This game feels kinda incomplete. I am not saying its bad, yet there are really weird choices made this time.

I know they were focusing mostly on RS part, such as roster, plot and shit, yet still it is a step back from HG/SS in terms of content. Is there a chance they can add in the future? This is so confusing, GameFreak, what have you done?

Now that it's confirmed that this isn't the same Battle Frontier that was in Emerald. There is no reason for Game Freak to mention it as a nod to that. Really there is no reason for them not to expand on it, and it says specifically it's under construction.

XY still has sequels.

Does he really need it? Why doesn't Pidgeot get Boomburst? He should have gotten Icy Wind and Signal Beam from the move tutors as well.

I think there's still a decent chance they add more megas if there's a Battle Frontier DLC. It's curious how they haven't announced anything about the Frontier, surely they have something planned, right? They can't possibly think that people just forgot about the BF....right?

Agreed. Locked doors that have no data behind them have existed forever in Pokémon. We thought they were going to do something cool with them, maybe they planned to but didn't in the end. But that was conjecture.
This specifically mentions a much, much requested feature being built and even shows the Battle Tower model shrunk down.
This, plus the Blaziken Ice Punch debacle and a handful of other things makes me thing GF are pulling the wool over our eyes a bit. I like it, if anything arises of it. Otherwise, I will genuinely consider dropping Pokémon after ORAS.

Maybe, but all the NPC text hinting at it suggests otherwise. Hell, they namedrop Brandon, Lucy, and Scott, I can't imagine this isn't leading up to something more. If it is just a nod to Emerald, i'm going to be pissed off.

Mirage tower and that wynaut island was amazing to discover. I remember seeing mirage tower before i could enter the sandstorm then it wasn't there the next time so I would check often and it finally appeared.

Why couldn't the future games have hidden shit like that?

Maybe they didn't put all the Frontier data in the full game because they didn't want dataminers to find it all? Gamefreak is dumb but not that dumb, they know people want the Battle Frontier and they know people will datamine the games. Maybe we aren't giving them enough credit for hiding the BF (and more megas?) from the dataminers.

True, but pretty much every tweet from the Pokemon twitter account is either for the US or UK (and the UK has to wait another week). Every day this week, they've been tweeting out "x more days until the release of ORAS, US trainers". At least that's how it is on twitter, I eel like if they were going to announce it, they'd correspond it to the US launch of the game.

Not unless it's a timed activation that's programmed to delete itself from the cartridge if accessed by a datamining program. DLC wouldn't work with such a big feature. I don't care that it's not in, but I'm pissed at GF for hinting at it even though it's not there.

Yes. It was borrowed from Platinum. The only reason its there is because there was a Battle Tower in Crystal.

HGSS also made a few referrals to Crystal events in addition to the main game.
