It was different from Diamond and Pearl, those came out before Platinum. Also the Gen 4 BF was different from the Emerald one. But Emerald was hands down the most challenging one, and fun. One of the best post game in Pokemon.

Unless they release another game this gen, they basically remade gen3 and didnt include the best post game of gen3. Copypasted the X/Y post game.

B2W2 had not only gym leader rematches, but rematches against ALL gym leaders and champions thanks to the PWT (except poor Koga). All we wanted from ORAS was normal rematches with gym leaders, which takes minimal effort to program, X/Y had them

ORAS is even worse than XY when you think about it.
For XY they had to:
>make like 700 3D pokemon models, draw new characters
>make a completely new region
>conceptualize and then write the XY story
>create the battle maison
In ORAS they:
>took the exact same 3D models plus about 40 new ones and did no polishing or improve performance (keep in mind for 3D models it should be easier to do things like change their idles stances, compare this to past remakes where they used to redraw sprite art for almost every pokemon), redraw existing characters

It's usually been understood that games that came after the first wave of games would have more content because with the first one they're busy creating the new region, making all the new Pokemon, etc.

I have no fucking idea what happened this time.
