You have to fit a ribbon cable (Which is pretty much a piece of paper through a tube that's a few millimetres too small. You'll have to roll it up. If you've a broken NDS, practice on that first. The XL is harder to repair than an NDS IMO. Never fucked with a 3DS. top screens can run about 50 bucks IIRC, bottom screen will need the actual screen + bottom panel. I don't even remember the price on those. It won't be super cheap, you might have to spend ~70 bucks, and you might be better off buying a 2DS.
