on this note, i don't mean to be that guy. I just want to create decent, competitive sets. I have an aerodactyl with tailwind sort of as a suicide lead. i figured whenever he is about to go down I can virtually always get a tailwind in to boost the speed of the rest of my team. He's running tailwind, ironhead, sky drop, and earthquake. Is this silly? should I have other offensive moves? and is it worth carrying tailwind?

I've met countless of retards claiming they're so original with their own set, yet their sets are retarded and often miss basic concept like switching or type immunities.

I have met one person, a single person, who has both a) disliked smogon and b) been good enough to beat a high tier smogon player. I think he was truly one of a kind. So many retards think they're good because they can beat the lowest on the ladder with their shitmons.

There was actually a team report on Nuggetbridge recently that had a scarf Salamence with protect, the idea being that you can protect first turn, then switch out and your opponent will feel safe knowing your Salamence isn't scarf.

Smogon actually encourages sets like this sometimes, e.g. giving your Garchomp Fire Blast to get past Skarmory. If the mon you're using actually has a reason to use an odd move, go for it.
