The Battle Frontier was never good.
Much like all Battle Facilities, each one of these cheats, making getting all the Gold symbols reputitious. It's not "trial and error", because you can do everything right and build a solid team, only for the game to randomly generate a team designed to counter yours. And what's more, the computer selects its move AFTER yours so it can counter it easily, along with other shit like 100 percent accuracy for moves that shouldn't, having your moves whiff, and activating priority boosting items whenever it needs to.
Each and every Frontier facility is like this with a gimmick slapped onto each different one. You don't succeed unless the computer allows you to.
That is not naturally extending the length of the game. It's piling up repetition and busywork. It's no different from the Maison save for the addition of gimmicks like rental Pokemon or shit like not letting you command your Pokemon.
We're better for it not being in the game.
