Typhlosion is the lesser in terms nostalgia magnetism, but it still sucks as a result. Autists such as Jake the Tank have really made me start to dislike it through association.

Still better than muh edgezard. Delphox is my favourite fire starter, it has a decent design.

Thread actually got me thinking about gen 2 starters. My first game was Silver, and they've been my favorites ever since, but I think they would look really shitty and bland on a cover. Good thing GF went with legendaries...

Design: Objectively, judging by sheer fan following and how pokemon like Charizard popularized the series, Charizard. But personally I prefer Typhlosion.

If you count the mega evolutions then Charizard wins by a landslide, but without them I would have to say Typhlosion.

The flying type only hinders Charizard and it's design gives everyone a false impression that it's supposed to be a Dragon type.
