So I just found a shiny skitty on the route right after Rustboro city and I haven't even gotten my first badge yet. Has anyone else found a shiny?

Yeah lot of people have already. In the dexnav threads people have found quite a few. There's possibly a way to chain shinys with it.

I caught a shiny abra before.

Also, I'm running around using the dex nav on route and a hidden pokemon spawned right next to me, I was still running so it despawned immediately but there was a flash of light on the patch of grass that I haven't seen before. Maybe dexnav can show you if there's a shiny in the bush?
