Why didn't you drop your starter, /vp/?
I've been doing it since B/W and it makes Pokemon games incredibly fun, I never realized how easy the starter makes the journey since it generally has the ability to kill anything the story throws at you as long as you aren't staggeringly weak level wise.
If anyone is about to start ORAS, I highly recommend dropping your starter Pokemon.
