PSA: You can synch your lati that you get in the story just like a stationary legend. Have your synch in first in your party.

Put an abra with a timid nature and the synchronise ability in the first slot of your party just before the cutscene where you get lati@s. You now have a 50% chance for that lati to be timid.

They're talking about affecting the nature of the Latias you get in-game. I'm guessing it's a different style encounter than typical but the whole synchronizing with the ideal nature still works apparently.

OP I can confirm you are telling the truth, I first noticed when I kept getting bashful latios in my SRing, then remembered I had a bashful kirlia in the front of my party. I ran back to route 3, and used dexnav to get a timid ralts, I then returned to southern island and now enjoy my quadperfect + one 30 IV Timid Latios
