It's like complaining that GameFreak fucked up the FR/LG remakes by removing the content from Yellow where Pokemon followed you, and you could get all three other starters. Sure it would be good if that was in the game, but if it's not in there it doesn't mean it was removed from the Red/Blue remakes. Because it was never in Red/Blue to begin with.
With the way Game Freak handles shit, I wouldn't be surprised if Delta Emerald really did still come out after this.Though that would be like saying Electric Yellow is still going to come out, hardly a chance.
Get your terms right; Character customization wasn't removed either, that wasn't in R/S. Though it still wouldn't be bad if it was ADDED.
