I agree, but they're still not half the games they could have been. Part of that is that Kalos was a shit region, just like Sinnoh. Hoenn was worse than Johto/Kanto/Unova, but still pretty decent on the whole.
Even something like gym leader/E4 rematches or PWT, neither of which requires much in the way of resources, would have been enough to say okay, the postgame isn't that bad.
But no, nothing. A clone of the battle maison that people fucking hated in Kalos and some legends to capture which is appreciated, but SRing legends isn't really an enjoyable postgame. BF would have been. Even PWT would have been enough and all they have to do there is make 3d models for the gym leaders, which they'll use in the future anyways (part of the reason that pokemon lags so bad is that most of the 3D models are high poly so they can be reused in the future) and remaster some themes, fuck they could have even just taken the ones from gen 5.
