Now I remember why I hated gen 3 besides Hoenn having too much damn water.

I get that they were trying to stay as true to the original as possible, but did they have to reuse the Hoenn dex verbatim?!?! You don't even see any decent pokemon until halfway through the game, and if you didn't choose Torchic, well good luck with seeing a fire type anytime soon. The only ones outside of Vulpix and Torkoal are double weak to water anyway. XY got it right with type variety, but Hoenn is a fucking nightmare when it comes to Pokemon choice. Shitmons everywhere for the first half of the game.
