I think gamefreak realized trying to push out remakes in a year was a mistake. They probably had extra time with HGSS and thought this would be equally easy but forgot that gen 3 had a lot of more complicated content.

I honestly don't think it will happen again.

It's gonna be add on content. There's no way they'd make a full 3rd game when they can just release the battle frontier in DLC form.

Delta Z: the game that let's you travel from Kalos and Hoenn (you choose which to start in, this determines if you get a gen 3 starter or a gen 6 startee), the battle Frontier is finished being built, you get ribbons for winning contests (not sure why they removed this), you get trainer customization (doesn't matter were you start), and you can rebattle gym leaders.

I canceled my predorder, personally, but somehow I doubt it made much of a difference.

They pretty much deconfirmed next 6th gen game, or any gen game for that matter; with Pokébank designed to transfer all of your monsters to future games, expect the next two versions to take place in a whole new region.
