BW was the experiment that preceded to perfection if I said so myself. Even despite people hating BW, it was such a huge new fresh breath that I loved it despite its flaws.
...And then we go back to XY, that tries to imitates the older games and fails miserably at it and somehow has worse gym leaders and worse cities than the first two games. It was forgettable as fuck, not to say that the region was a huge deformed circle and worse than what we found in B/W.
XY was such a disappointment.

The Sinjoh ruins are said to be where Sinnoh and Johto culture combine. So while the regions are taken from Japanese landmasses there aren't really in the same places geographically.

As much as I love Platinum, a remake would probably not be as good. They'd probably do something like what they did with ORAS and remove many features that people liked about it or like FRLG where it'll just be DP but prettier.
At least the Johto remakes were cool.

Not 2, HeartGold and Soul Silver were great games that still hold up till today. Kanto needs a boost in graphics and Sinnoh still needs to forget the PTSD fest that was Diamond and Pearl

Gen 4 was actually great, but Sinnoh sucked. That was the peak of the game at the competitive level though IMO. Gen 6 sucks. Gen 5 had really good single player but HAs and B2W2 tutors were the beginning of the end of fun multiplayer in pokemon. Power creep got too real, now you absolutely can't run 'low tiers' at all outside of Smogon low tier metas.

DP may be slow but the region was nice and Platinum fixed almost all the flaws (still little to no non-starter fire types aside from Flareon, Houndour, and Rapidash) so a remake would be great.

That worry aside, I really look forward to the sure to be remakes. If we can get Hoenn remakes, I'm sure we can get Sinnoh remakes.
The question now is what generation's engine it'll be in. I'm thinking maybe gen 8. Maybe 7.
