No. Its literally exactly the same dialogue, only in a different language and worse quality acting.

Why? Japanese voice acting is terrible. I was in a hotel room one time, and the Japanese dub of Spongebob was on television, and they gave Plankton, who's supposed to be a middle-aged man, a little girl's voice. They're weird.

No it fucking isn't. They changed the shit out of the dialog when they dubbed it in English.

Like that one scene where Misty says that one day she and Ash will be married. She never fucking talked about marriage in the original version or hinted the two would be together, she was commenting on how Brock's usual role got reversed.

Dubs are for little kids who can't read. By the time you're 12, you should be watching stuff in its original language with subtitles.

Sadly, though, Pokemon has been neglected for a really long time when it comes to subs until PM started in late DP, but you can find raws up until the point where they started subbing here.

It's not in its original language, of course it sounds like shit. Try watching actual anime, and you'll realize how much better it sounds than its dubbed version.
