>>21862454>Se Jun Park used Pachirisu cuz it's his favNo. The same thing was said in other thread, and its just not true.
The trend in the XY Meta was Rotom-W to keep in check the HO threats like Talonflame, CB Scizor, MKanga and MMawile. Rotom-M increased in usage because Rotom-M can do the same thing while defeating Rotom-W all the time, since it's a Grass type it can ignore the Rage Powder and finally, because more and more people start to use Quick Guard users to prevent Talonflame sweeps and to have an answer for all the Trickster in the format in the same slot.
Because all of the above, Se Jun look for two things: a Pokémon able to redirect bypassing Rotom-M and Flying + Electric Resistant, Garchomp is Electric inmune but it's usually double targeted and such, and except Garchomp, none of the team in Se Jun Park were resistant to Electric, heck, he had Talonflame (x2) and Gyarados (x4) without having a Flying resistant to prevent opposing Talonflame.
Pachirisu fills all the roles, being like a glue for the team: Electric inmunty (Healing actually); Flying resistant and able to redirect. Another plus was offensive presence with Super Fang.
That's why he choose Pachirisu, not because "lol its my fav"
