They changed Altaria from Flying/Dragon to Fairy/Dragon so it would be very plausible for them to make Noctowl Psychic/Flying from Normal/Flying.

Just give it Boomburst and Focus Blast allready. Im really suck of Gamefreak being stingy bastards when it comes to balance. Pidgeot will not even be broken with those moves. Just good enough to be worth the mega slot.

Its movepool is so shallow that every Rock, Electric, and Fire-neutral Ice type forces it out. Not to mention Blizzard, Thunder, and Stone Edge will always hit it.

It gets Heat Wave, steel-types aren't willing to risk switching into that.
The problem is that it's not strong enough to dish out a lot of damage nor does it have good stab, like >>21866013 said, except not only is it slower than Talonflame, but its ability makes it pure Stone Edge fodder.

Its fucking terrible. There is really no reason to use this mega over others that can cover their weaknesses or support a team.

I kinda wished they gave the special oriented mega slot to Unfezant instead of Pidgeot. At least Unfezant has Hyponsis and the damn bird already seem to be built more for special attack than physical judging by it's movepool.
