I have never seen a wild shiny and I've been playing since Blue. I don't count Lake of Rage Gyarados, or "here's a free Shiny Beldum" shit.

I'm horrified of running into a shiny in ORAS, actually, since 90% of the wild mons are shitmons.

Same. I've been playing as long too. Watched people get them out the ass in XY and never saw one myself. I'd probably be happy with most pokemon I could get a shiny of, but I'd prefer one with a noticeably different colour scheme.

Best friend's first shiny was a male combee in Y. So at least that didn't happen to me.

I don't know of anything before Y since it was the first Pokemon I'd played in a long time but I caught a shiny Cloyster after nights of chain fishing and named it after my crush. I lost all my progress because my save corrupted for some reason

First shiny I ever saw was a shiny Electrike in Emerald. I accidentally critted it and it fainted. I wanted to scoop my eyes out with a melon baller. I was like 10 years old.

Then I got XY and thought I'd try MM. I got a shiny Bulbasaur in 27 eggs. Shit IVs and nature, but it is my favorite Pokemon. Have hatched over 2000+ eggs or so and nothing. Guess I got lucky.

The rest of my shinies I got through the Pokeradar, chain fishing, and friend safari. I am awesome at the radar, but I seem to have the worst luck in the friend safari. It takes me ~500 encounters each shiny. Only RE I had was a shiny Skiddo.

But nothing so far in ORAS yet. Looks like it's gonna be harder to find them again. :(

I have few hatched ones, one from Friend Safari, few events and red Gyarados.

I did, however, once find shiny Geodude while helping brother with Pearl and then fucking Pidgey while emulating Crystal.
