No idea yet. Mine's still level 1 and all that. Maybe Ominous Wind/Wake-Up Slap/Ice Shard/Blizzard. All are level-up moves.

Depends on what TMs and tutor-moves it gets, too lazy to check those.

Definitely want to use the following:
Sceptile - mega bro
Exploud - Scrappy Boomburst if I can nav it
Aggron - regular with Head Smash

But who else? No need for a dedicated Flier, and at a push I might just use a Sharpedo with all the water hms for sanic transport. I definitely want a Poison type, something that completely handles Ice for Sceptile, same again with Fighting and Ground for Aggron (and Exploud to some extent), and that'll have good synergy in general. Some options I'm considering:
Thick Fat Hariyama
Tentacruel
Crobat
Weezing
Gyarados (regular)

Don't want any type overlap either. Any ideas?

If I use Tentacruel, I definitely need something to mess up Ground types, and Crobat can't do much to them either, but he does handle Fighting unless they have rock moves. Hariyama is a strong contender, don't want to use Cham or Gallade, but how much worse is it? Would likely have Close Combat, Bullet Punch, Stone Edge, Knock Off/filler, I know it's slow but is that health and TF enough to make it morebulky? Assume I go with Hari and Tenta, who would the sixth be? What major weakness have they got?

I want to know if I can get some good Hoenn Water-types early in the game. I'd like to have Wailord or Sharpedo as my surfer but if I have to wait until I've beaten Norman to get them like in the originals, I probably have to pass. A good piece of information was that you can call Latias/Latios for soaring even if you don't have them with you, so you don't have to carry anything with Fly with you. This obviously gave me a free team slot but I'm not sure what to put there. So far I have two options:

Team #1: If I can't find Carvanha or Wailmer before I get Surf

I always forget Froslass has same attack as special attack. Still think I'll rather go for a purely S.Atk oriented build due to Timid nature.
Hex / Frost Breath / Thunder Wave / Destiny Bond perhaps would work now that I think about it.

Are you on Alpha Sapphire? If so Ludicolo is a great choice, one of the better water types in the game.

Just noticed I'm way weak to Ground, with only Sceptile to counter. He's the only thing that can really hit Dragons too. Something with levitate or flying type, with ice or fairy moves? What else resists ground? Just grass right?

Yeah, I've pre-ordered Alpha Sapphire, but the problem is that I'm trying to use Pokemon that I haven't used in other games before and I've already used Ludicolo. I don't know whose genius idea was it to put Good Rod so late in the game that you have to use Surf in order to get it. I mean, I probably don't need a surfer anymore if I'm already using Surf. I'd be thrilled if I could find Wailmer or Carvanha before Norman but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm stuck with Ludicolo or a bunch of physically offensive Water-types who don't like using Surf, such as Seaking, Gyarados, or Swampert.

Wait, does it? Doesn't really do it any favours, since it gets ice beam, but worth a thought.

Dusknoir, alas, is slow as shit, and I don't want another one really. Plus, I really need that solid ground counter for all the Camerupts and shit in OR. A flying type could work, but I'm fairly sure they'll all overlap with my team at this point.

There's still two open spots. Currently considering using Slaking. Makes sense to use an electric type in Alpha Sapphire, so I might also use Manectric. But Hariyama and Grumpig also look interesting. I dunno. Any suggestions?

I used Shedinja in my latest Emerald run. If you can predict your opponent, it's very fun to use. Not sure about the remakes obviously because they're not out here yet.

It's surprisingly fast, and bulky to boot, my only concern is the huge lack of Ghost counters. But hopefully Exploud will handle that. Hariyama covers the ice and dark weakness, bug and grass are potentially dealt with by Aggron/tacking Fire Blast on Exploud, water gets rekt by Scep. A flying type may have been a better option, but I can't think of any that would fill the role. While bug and grass are common, they'll usually have a secondary type to exploit.

Physical or special Claydol? It's quite weak, but gets nice high power moves, and stuff like AncientPower and Charge Beam.

I was also thinking on giving Shedinja a try for the fun of it. I also love Ninjask and Masquerain though, bug is my favourite type.

Definites are Gardevoir and Breloom but that's about it... (no starter because used them all too many times, want to try new things)
