Ash wind by cheating on accident. Later Ash apologizes to him asking for a rematch but Wattson lets him keep the badge.

Later later on, Wattson encounters Ash again and has a fully evolved Manectric. They battle again and Wattson floors him.

His monologue sounded sort of like a supervillain or something. Then he threw his head back and laughed, and I started to like him even more.

Plus he does the whole "V for victory" finger pose.

It was bullshit, but it was training. In Wattson's case it is straight up cheating and Wattson beats him later anyway.

I only remember Sabrina giving him the badge but I don't remember if they ever ACTUALLY fought. I guess it counts for less than Wattson though because Haunter incapacitated Kadabra by making it laugh.

I don't remember Whitney.

In Wattson's case though, Pikachu gets supercharged by his Raikou robot. He literally explodes all of Wattsons pokemon then Pikachu gets sick. When Ash realizes he didn't win fairly he actually asks Wattson for a rematch and cheers him up saying it wasn't his lack of skill. At this point Wattson just gives him the badge and gets an Electrike in the process.

Later in the series his Electrike is fully evolved, they battle again and Wattson floors Ash.
