It transforms whilst in your party. I don't have a video but basically the animation is Hoopa's sprite poofs into a pink cloud, switches to Hoopa Unbound's sprite and its cry plays.

I'd love to run it as a mixed attacker, but it's special moves seem so lackluster compared to it's physical ones.

I wouldn't say it's strictly better. Knock Off weakens against megas and after you've already gotten rid of an item while Fury is always as strong as full power Knock Off, never misses, and goes through Protect.

I remember some anons in an earlier thread paranoid about Hoopa not being able to be transformed back if you let Unbound wear off after three days rather than putting it in a box.

Hoopa does indeed revert back to Confined after three days (I tested it by keeping it in my party for three days), and you simply need to use the Prison Bottle to make it Unbound again.

That's not why he got a C&D. He got it because he said that the beginning of the game did not give EXP, as if it were a tutorial section or something. This was not the case. The reality was that the anti-piracy in the game would disable experience gains if it detected it was being played on an emulator. Therefore, he accidentally revealed that he was indeed playing on an emulator or a hacked device. This is why he received a C&D.
