A 2DS is more comfortable, but it has no 3D effect and small screens.
Normal 3DS is okay, but a 3DS XL is better because of the bigger screens.
Or you just wait for New 3DS.

The 3D effect is actually pretty cool for some games like Shen Megami Tensai 4. Also the bigger screen on the 3DS XL is nice. There's also the new 3ds releasing in a year or whatever

2DS Owner here. I have to say that the 2DS has the most comfortable shoulder buttons I've experienced on any handheld. My largish hands fit the curves on it perfectly.

I heard it was designed so kids don't break the hinges or some shit like that, but if your kid breaks a $100 game console, you don't just shrug that off. You make them take care of what they've got
