In your opinion what are some flaws in ORAS?

For me it was revealing ALL the new mega Pokemon. Why the fuck couldn't they pull an X/Y and leave a majority undiscovered?

Look at Audino, it looks like a late stage XY mega, thats the case. Of course its not a fucking fact, but we know at least, that they had little time to make shit we counted on. I really hope for some additional content, but for love of god, not delta emerald. That would be the worst thing they have done ever.

ORAS has a location that is effectively the Lumiose loop, the daycare, and the IV checked all mixed into one location. And also had the GOAT meteor cutscene, even if I don't particularly like how they removed a few trainers or made the surf routes easy-mode by upping surf speed and lowering encounter rate, I cant look past the sheer brilliance of it.

Nobody had to spoil anything, all of the new megas were revealed through pre-release material. The only surprise the datamine offered has Hoopa Unbound, and that wasn't a mega.

GF also likes spreading out as much as possible across the gen. If there really are two more games coming this gen, they can't reveal too many megas so early on.

They could have still kept the few megas secret and revealed in game but they wanted the advertising. The fuck else would they talk about? Its a remake, we all knew what to expect.

Ugly Megas, weird Mega choices
No Battle Frontier, adding insult to injury by just pasting the Maison into the game
No Game Corner
No character customization
Stripped down berry blender instead of adding to it
Made easier than the originals

Gen III is my favorite gen, so I was willing to roll with a couple punches. It's just been too much. I don't understand why they would SUBTRACT features that have been in pre-existing games. I'm enjoying the game, albeit with a good amount of disappointment.

My issue was mainly just them releasing the megas ahead of time. I woulda liked to discover some, like with X & Y. That, and I wish they'd mixed up the areas and/or added some more mons in some areas. But overall, I enjoy it.

What I LIKE about it is that it's taking steps to remove some of the awful abstractness of shit that doesn't need to remain abstract about the Pokemon world. Wild Pokemon ACTUALLY EXIST in the overworld. You can ACTUALLY search out specific Pokemon for hunting excursions. Random birds and shit are not just part of one-time cinematics or unique to single locales in the region. Flying around physically happens with Latios/Latias - maybe someday we'll get it for real on real pokemon.

If only Super Training weren't weird virtual reality horseshit and IVs didn't necessitate the most disturbing sociopathic form "breeding" has ever taken in a video game series, you could actually call it a cohesive gameworld.

I like OR/AS because I find it interesting on how they altered the plot to work with the modern standards (such as mega evolution), but still kept the core fundamentals of the plot in tact.

X/Y was doing good, but I just didn't feel much of the plot going around with it. It has plenty to do aside from the main plot, yes, but considering the plot is the main thing I focus on at first, it's ultimately how I judge the game.
