Okay, so MAYBE ORAS is void of heart, kinda lazy for the first 60% of the game, and has an even worse implementation of Exp Share, the item single-handedly ruining Pokemon. But I'm sure we can at least agree that the game has:

>Some really dope remixes like the Maxie/Archie fight theme
>a really great couple sequences in Episode Delta with Rayquaza, that rock opera music, and Deoxys fight
>justification for why both the pre-remake games and the remake games can still exist in the same greater universe
>a few good Mega Evolutions
>a couple decent new features like Soar, even if it kind of trivializes legendary Pokemon
>a general faithfulness to the source material

This game feels like both the best and worst Pokemon game in years.
