Always always trick room first turn and use a focus sash so you can destiny bond kill something. This will really work and give you four turns to wreck shit. Trust me this strategy really works.

Most definitely trick room anon, it's similar in use to mega Ampharos. A cool doubles partner in trick room imo would be adaptability dragalge with sludge wave.

Torkoal or Camerupt?

Answer for if I choose to have Camerupt be mega and if I choose to use another Pokemon as my mega. I don't really plan on making my team super competitive just something to fight against my roommate with and I want a fire Pokemon from Hoenn

it's pretty op in trickroom on doubles

Protect is necessary for doubles, you can also go full attacks but that is really not reccomended in doubles, Pair it with something that knows Follow Me/Rage Powder and/or Gastrodon with Storm Drain to absorb those Aqua Jets and KO back with Earth Power
