Put a Scatterbug or Fletchling on the GTS asking for a Sharpedo or some "rare" ORAS mon you can get easily. Pelipper, perhaps. GTS trade with yourself, fuck the police.

Mega Evolution has priority anyway. So unless the person just happened to not Mega Evolve for whatever reason on their first turn out, you wouldn't be able to get it.

Unless you're thinking that you could reverse the Mega by using one of those moves while it's evolved, in which case >>21898958 said it best.

I guess base decorations is the most important thing you'd miss out on since GTS exists. No version exclusive mega stones, no version exclusive places, the story is pretty much the same, you just swap characters and personalities.

I mean technically you don't get to see courtney as much in AS but like, you don't see her at all post-endgame in either version anyway.

This might be considered a dumb question, I'd love some input.
I can't decide what electric type to go with.
I've used Magneton many times before, so not this run.
I was thinking either Minun, or Electrode.
Manectric maybe, but that seems too easy. Unless you think I should. And I wouldn't use my mega on it anyway.
I like minun because its cute and is surprisingly fun, and I want Electrode because I have never used it, plus its fast as fuck.
Any tips?

ORAS has HA mons more available, wild egg move mons, Move tutor, and safari like old style. X and Y have horde HA and better berry patches and some HA mons in friend safari. FS needs you to add people to DS though for you to see mons and them to be online for you to get HA and the 3rd mon from their list. It sucks dick.

Sort of. It only really reaches exceptional base power (150) if the opponent is under 25% of your speed. This still sounds promising for a pokemon of Electrode's amazing speed but it's actually just pokemon of ~34 speed (assuming no EVs because why would anyone EV those pokes' speed) and under.

You're looking at Slowbro, Ferrothorn, Steelix, Snorlax, Shuckle, Reuniclus, Amoonguss and Bronzong as ones you are sort of likely to see, plus Forretress if they bother to minimize their speed IVs. If you REALLY hate Slowbro this is good news but it's pretty much your only target since others resist it or are very specially-defensive. With base 80 SpAtt, it's still hard to justify since 150 BP move doesn't completely fix that.

I was looking at electrict teammates too recently and settled on Raichu. Pichu learns Nasty Plot and can be bred anything else useful Minun learns like Encore.

I think you can. The NPC in the dressing rooms from then on says she's there to change a cosplay Pikachu's costume. I did the cool one, got the cool Pikachu (whose nature and IVs are randomized right as you get it, so save if you care for it), and boxed it to breed later since I heard you can't evolve it.

Then I learned from the daycare man that it couldn't BREED either. Basically finding it only enabled me to search for a real Pikachu on GTS to breed. It's Static but I'm gonna be using it with a Mega Sceptile so I figure that's more useful. I don't recommend this, Manectric is probably better and less frustrating.

I'm having trouble transferring my rewards out of my ORAS demo. I transferred my first item fine, then realized I needed to change the time for Daylight Savings. Now it seems like I've been locked out of transferring those rewards completely. In hindsight, I obviously shouldn't have changed the time when dealing with a time-sensitive rewards setup.

Anyone else encountered this or know how to work around it? Thanks for any help in advance!

This is false. Only one move changes depending on the costume: Meteor Mash for boy/cool, and Draining Kiss for girl/cute. Everything else is the same (Quick Attack, Electro Ball, and T-Wave). The Pikachu is geared for Cool, but with some TM and heart scaling, it can win Masters Cute too, I've tried it.

There have been reports of people getting normal gems from rocks smash, but I haven't seen it myself. The chance is most likely ultra low, and I haven't seen/heard anything on other gems.

On mirage islands (specifically mountain tileset) you can get fossils from every gen while rock smashing.

Best way to go about it is just depositing and never fucking EVER seeking. Shit like haunters and kadabras for example can get you almost any non legendary mon, and anything remotely rare like pre gen 6 starters can net you anything you want. Usually takes a few hours at the most

So, I'm playing Yellow for the first time and years. It's just a joke playthrough. Not doing any crazy challenges, but I'd like to get some of my favorite pokemon from this generation. Now, I recall in the past trying to play through Red again and getting incredibly bored, but I'm having a pretty good time this time around. Soundtrack is good, Pikachu allows me to interact with the game more(because I do talk while playing), and I've had some pretty fun shenanigans so far(Pikachu has had more critical hits than normal ones, and I just beat Blue in Route 20 or whatever west of Viridian).

Why does this generation get so much shit? Even WITH bugs, it's an enjoyable game. Are people just approaching it too seriously? I mean, in contrast, I found it hard to enjoy X at all. Even the main game wasn't very interesting, yet I'm just dicking around in Yellow and having a damn good time. I don't get it.

The pokedex is an encyclopedia, correct? So the information is already on the device, correct? Then why the actual fuck are these professors sending children across the world through all kinds of potential danger to find information that's already there?

Rather, you can find one without it, but searching for hordes is pointless when it's easier to grab an Oddish, Surskit, or Combee or something to spawn them.
